Cape Cobras call-ups for Vredenburg Saldanha Cricket Club and UWC Cricket Club stars

Vredenburg Saldanha Cricket Club wicketkeeper-batsman Hanno Kotze and University of the Western Cape Cricket Club fast bowler Mihlali Mpongwana have been named in the Cape Cobras squad for Sunday’s One-Day Cup fixture against the Warriors at the Recreation Ground in Oudtshoorn.

The Cobras will be without opener Janneman Malan and wicketkeeper-batsman Kyle Verreynne, who are with South Africa’s squad ahead of this month’s three-ODI series against England.

Batsmen Zubayr Hamza and Pieter Malan and seamer Dane Paterson have returned for the Cobras. They were with South Africa’s Test squad.

Cape Town Cricket Club’s Thando Ntini and Victoria Cricket Club’s Rory Kleinveldt have also been named in the squad. Cape Town Cricket Club batsman David Bedingham was not considered after signing a contract with Durham in English county cricket.
