All-rounder George Linde and seamer Brandon Viret have moved from Durbanville Cricket Club to Brackenfell Cricket Club.

Viret took 15 wickets in 10 Western Province Cricket Association premier league fixtures during the 20118-19 Western Province Cricket Association premier league, according to WebSports. Cape Cobras commitments limited Linde’s time with Durbanville Cricket Club to one match.

Brackenfell Cricket Club said

“We are delighted to have both Brandon and George on board. Brandon is an experienced player with a very good track record and George is an established player in first-class cricket,” Brackenfell Cricket Club chairman Tertius Dippenaar told Club Cricket SA.

“We are looking forward to both of them adding value to our club community – on and off the field.”

Left-arm seamer Viret played for the Cape Vikings in the Cape Premier League earlier this year, too, while the Hoeri Kwaggo Bulls had Linde. The Vikings beat the Bulls in the final to claim the inaugural title.

Durbanville Cricket Club, who are the reigning WPCA premier league and National Club Championship title holders, recruited seamer Jody Lawrence and wicketkeeper-batsman Carlos Koyana from Avendale Cricket Club and and Tygerberg Cricket Club, respectively, earlier this month.
