Ottoman Cricket Club’s Anwar Rahman is the latest recipient of the Club Cricket SA Player of the Week accolade.
The left-arm spinner recorded remarkable first-innings figures of eight for 52 in 20.2 overs, including six maidens, in a key Western Province Cricket Association first division A fixture against Claremont Cricket Club on 7 November 2015.
The 19-year-old was on debut in Ottoman Cricket Club‘s first XI, after clinching a telling seven-wicket haul in reserve B league cricket against Bellville Cricket Club a week prior.
Rahman joined OCC earlier this year, as part of Ottoman Cricket Club’s fruitful relationship with the Malaysian Malays Cricket Association.
