A player trade between the Cape Vikings and District Sixers ahead of the 2023 edition of the Cape Premier League has been cancelled.
Strandfontein Cricket Club batsman Justin Gilliland was going to move from the Cape Vikings to the District Sixers.
Gilliland’s Strandfontein Cricket Club team-mate Waseem Salie was going to leave the Sixers for the Vikings.
The Vikings and Sixers, however, recently agreed to cancel the trade after Gilliland became unavailable for this season’s CPL.
The 2023 edition of the CPL is scheduled for late September to early October.
