The Devil’s Peak Dragons reacquired seamer Sabir Malie and batsman Sohail Mahmoud at last week’s Cape Premier League player auction.
Malie and Mahmoud played for the Dragons previously, but were not among the retained players ahead of the auction.
The Dragons purchased Malie and Mahmoud for 1.8 million CPL dollars – the tournament’s fictional currency – each at the recent auction.
The Dragons also purchased wicketkeeper-batsman Jean Marais. Prior to the auction, they retained spinner David Schierhout, batsman Mathew Goles and others.
