Durbanville Cricket Club won the 2024 T20 Community Cup title this month.
Durbanville Cricket Club also won the T20 Community Cup title in 2017. This is the first time a team has won the tournament twice.
They were unbeaten throughout the 2024 T20 Community Cup. This included victories over former champions Old Edwardians Cricket Club from Gauteng and Crusaders Cricket Club from KwaZulu-Natal.
Durbanville Cricket Club’s squad for the 2024 T20 Community Cup included Proteas batsman Eddie Moore – and Western Province first-class cricketers Onke Nyaku and Jody Lawrence.
Moore and team-mate Fritz de Beer were the tournament’s top two run-scorers overall.
Lawrence and team-mates Brad Petersen and Tashwin Lukas were the tournament’s fourth-, third- and second-highest wicket-takers, respectively.
