Proteas leg-spinner Imran Tahir will play for Wedgwood Cricket Club in England club cricket this year.
Tahir has reportedly signed a three-year agreement with the North Staffordshire and South Cheshire League division three club.
He previously featured for League Norton-in-Hales Cricket Club, Moddershall Cricket Club and Meir Heath Cricket Club in the North Staffordshire and South Cheshire premier league.

“We’re thrilled to be able to announce this news, truly a watershed moment for the club, the city, and for cricket in North Staffordshire,” Wedgwood Cricket Club vice-chairman Haroon Mohammed was quoted as saying by the Stoke Sentinel.
“Imran is a huge name in the world of cricket with a huge amount of experience which he can bring to all levels of Wedgwood Cricket Club.”

What Tahir said
The 42-year-old Tahir is currently playing for the Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League. He has also featured in several other domestic T20 leagues around the world, including the Indian Premier League, Caribbean Premier League, Big Bash League in Australia and others.
“I’m really excited to be joining Wedgwood Cricket Club from the 2022 season,” added Tahir.
“I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences with the club’s future stars. I also want to help the club to get to the premier division in the future.”
