Pinelands Cricket Club, too, have promoted former assistant coach Muneer Holmes to head coach. Holmes has succeeded former head coach Garreth von Hoesslin.
“Garreth has taken up a new role as a coaching consultant and remains committed to Pinelands Cricket Club,” read a statement from the club.
“We would like to thank Garreth for his contribution and are delighted he is still fully committed in his new role.”
Holmes joined Pinelands Cricket Club from Ottoman Cricket Club in August 2022. He was assistant coach for one season prior to last month’s promotion.
“I truly feel honoured and privileged to be named head coach of Pinelands CC. I really enjoyed last season, working with the players and with Gareth,” said Holmes.
“I would like thank Garreth for his contributions and am really happy to still have him on board in a consultant capacity.”
Pinelands Cricket Club recently signed former University of Cape Town Cricket Club batsman Matthew Mingo.
