First XI captain Qaasim Salie was awarded multiple times at Primrose Cricket Club’s awards ceremony for the 2022-23 season recently.
Salie was named first XI Player of the Year and best batsman in the first XI.
He was also given several meritorious awards for individual performances in the 2022-23 Western Province Cricket Association first division A.
Primrose Cricket Club have been promoted to the 2023-24 WPCA premier league after ending the 2022-23 first division A in second position.

along the way. The promotion to the Western Province Cricket Association premier league is a testament to the resilience and dedication of everyone involved with Primrose Cricket Club,” read a statement from the club.
“It symbolises the power of collective effort, the strength of a united spirit, and the unbreakable bond that the sport of cricket fosters. As the club sets its sights on new challenges and opportunities, let this be a reminder of what can be achieved when passion, talent and perseverance converge.”
