Rondebosch Cricket Club have recruited fast bowler Eddie Visser for the 2022-23 Western Province Cricket Association season.
Visser completed high school at Paarl Gimnasium and, recently, played in the Topklasse – the Netherlands’ premier club cricket competition.
“We are very excited to have such a talented, hard-working, young all-rounder with us. We are know he is going to do well with us at the club,” said Rondebosch Cricket Club coach Sean Hendrieck.
Visser will also play for the Cape Vikings, whose squad features several Rondebosch Cricket Club players, in the Cape Premier League later this year.
Rondebosch Cricket Club finished in second position in the 2021-22 WPCA premier league. They topped the 2019-20 premier league standings, but were not necessarily named champions.
They will be captained by Lenert van Wyk during the 2022-22 premier league.
