Club Cricket SA are aggrieved to report St Augustine Cricket Club was robbed and vandalised on the weekend.
A geyser, taps and other fittings were stolen – and the club’s prefab structure endured extensive damage.
“We are outraged that we have become a target for crime, but are aware we need to proceed in a manner that provides a long-term security solution and an upgrade of our premises,” commented a club spokesperson.
The stalwart Elfindale-based club was established in 1899 – and are the reigning Division 3A champions in the Western Cape.
