Tygerberg Cricket Club have hired head coach Eugene Moleon.
Moleon has succeeded former Tygerberg Cricket Club head coach Linton Phillips, who has moved to Edgemead Cricket Club.
“Eugene has been appointed as the head coach of our senior men’s and women’s teams,” Tygerberg Cricket Club chairman Alnico Adams told Club Cricket SA.
Moleon played first-class cricket from 1996 to 2007. He was capped by the Lions, North West and Western Province.
“With all the young talent at the club in both the men’s and women’s segments of our club, we are confident that Eugene’s playing and coaching experience will unearth the young talents that we have to give exposure,” added Adams.
Moleon was previously head coach of the University of Cape Town Cricket Club.
Tygerberg Cricket Club, meanwhile, have lost all-rounder Reeve Cyster to Northerns Goodwood Cricket Club.
