Victoria Cricket Club unveil new head coach in WPCA first division B

Victoria Cricket Club have hired head coach Saadiek Davids ahead of the 2023-23 Western Province Cricket Association first division B.

Davids, who previously worked with United Cricket Club, has succeeded former Victoria Cricket Club head coach Myles Williamson.

“We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Saadiek Davids as our new head coach. After a challenging period, we are eager to embark on a journey of rebuilding and growth under Saadiek’s esteemed leadership,” read a statement from Victoria Cricket Club.

“The entire club is excited about the future as we look forward to a fresh chapter, filled with determination, teamwork and success.

“Together, we will strive to make a mark in the cricketing arena and bring pride to our loyal club members and supporters.

“We extend our warmest welcome to coach Davids and anticipate a fruitful partnership that will undoubtedly propel Victoria Cricket Club towards excellence.”

Seamer Diego du Plessis, meanwhile, has left Victoria Cricket Club for Kraaifontein Cricket Club.
