Western Province Cricket Association chief executive officer Michael Canterbury‘s tenure will end next month.
Canterbury was appointed in August 2021. He succeeded former WPCA CEO Nabeal Dien at the time.
His tenure included Cricket South Africa’s intervention amid WPCA’s financial struggles.
Canterbury has been absent from the role for several months due to illness.
“We will bid farewell to CEO Michael Canterbury at the end of February 2024,” read a statement from WPCA president Johannes Adams.
“The association and I would like to express our appreciation for Michael’s contribution during his tenure as CEO. We wish Michael and family well in their future endeavours.
“The process to target and appoint a new CEO is underway.”
