MI Cape Town have recruited Australian batsman Tim David for the remainder of the SA20.
David has played T20I cricket for Singapore and Australia.
He has replaced England batsman Liam Livingstone in the MI Cape Town squad. Livingstone has been sidelined by injury.
“I am so excited to be here with MI Cape Town and join up with the MI family,” said David.
“Look forward to meeting all my new team-mates, some familiar faces with the coaches and current team-mates from Mumbai Indians. Can’t wait to start and looking forward.”
MI Cape Town currently occupy fifth position in the six-team SA20 standings. They have won three matches and lost four.
MI Cape Town are captained by Afghanistan all-rounder Rashid Khan.
MI Cape Town’s head coach is former Australian batsman Simon Katich.
