Former Proteas all-rounder Albie Morkel has been hired as Bangladesh’s power-hitting coach.
He will work with Bangladesh during the ODI leg of this month’s tour of South Africa.

“Morkel will be with the ODI team for a week or so. He will help the batters,” said Bangladesh Cricket Board cricket operations chairman Jalal Yunus.
“We will see how it goes, and then decide what happens afterwards.”
Morkel played one Test, 58 ODIs and 50 T20Is from 2004 to 2015 – and played for several franchises in the Indian Premier League, including the Chennai Super Kings.
He has since worked with Namibia’s coaching staff in international cricket.
Bangladesh also have former Proteas bowling coach Allan Donald and head coach Russell Domingo.
