Boland head coach JP Duminy will reportedly succeed Proteas batting coach Justin Sammons.
Duminy has reportedly been appointed to the Test – not ODI and T20I – role.
Duminy joined Boland for South Africa’s 2022-23 domestic season – and has previously worked with the Lions.
He was head coach of the Paarl Royals in the inaugural edition of the SA20.
Duminy played 46 Tests, 199 ODIs and 81 T20Is for South Africa from 2004 to 2019.
Cricket South Africa recently split the head coach position to two positions. Former South Africa Under-19 coach Shukri Conrad was appointed Test head coach – and former Titans head coach Rob Walter was appointed ODI and T20I coach.
