Tygerberg Cricket Club all-rounder Delmi Tucker has been named in the Proteas Women’s squad for next month’s tour of Ireland.
Tucker impressed with bat and ball for Western Province and South Africa Emerging Women recently.
Western Province have five representatives in the 15-player squad – Tucker, Andrie Steyn, Laura Wolvaardt, Nadine de Klerk, Lara Goodall.
The squad is without Sinalo Jafta, Marizanne Kapp and Lizelle Lee, who have been sidelined by illness. The injured Dané van Niekerk and Masabata Klaas – and recent ODI retiree Mignon du Preez – are also absent.
Ireland Women and the Proteas Women will contest an ODI and T20I series from 3 to 17 June 2022.
