One star player from each team at this month’s National Club Championship in Pretoria.

1. Robbie Frylinck (Crusaders Cricket Club)
Frylinck played three T20Is for the Proteas in 2017 and 2018. He also played in the Bangladesh Premier League and Caribbean Premier League. Frylinck won the T20 Community Cup with Crusaders Cricket Club last year.
2. Jason Niemand (Bohemian Cricket Club)
Niemand has recorded a triple-century in South African domestic cricket and, this season, captained Border to a T20 Challenge, division two, semi-final against Limpopo. Bohemian Cricket Club also have border batsman Marco Marais.
3. Matthew Boast (University of Pretoria Cricket Club)
The Pretoria Capitals recruited Boast for one of the highest prices ahead of the 2024 SA20. He didn’t play a match, though. Boast has first-class and List A experience for the Titans – and has played for South Africa Emerging. The University of Pretoria Cricket Club also have Titans fast bowler Merrick Brett.
4. Seth Fledermaus (University of the Free State Cricket Club)
Fledermaus played first division club cricket in the Western Province before relocating to the Free State. He has since played List A cricket for the Knights – against South Africa Emerging and Northern Cape.
5. CJ King (North-West University Cricket Club)
King was with Limpopo for this season’s title-winning T20 Challenge, division two, campaign. He played in the semi-final against Border in Polokwane, but was not selected for the final against Northern Cape.
6. Lehan Botha (Stellenbosch University Cricket Club)
Botha recently returned from representing South Africa at the African Games in Accra, Ghana. The all-rounder impressed with the bat against Ghana before performing well with the ball against Uganda.
