“Congratulations to all five WP ladies who have been awarded national contracts,” said Western Province Women’s head coach Claire Terblanche.

A special mention for Delmi Tucker who has been awarded her first national contract and deservedly so. Also to Nadine de Klerk, who regains her national contract after some really hard work and good performances.

“WP are extremely proud of all our players and wish them the best of luck for the upcoming International season.”

Tucker, de Klerk and Anneke Bosch have effectively replaced Lizelle Lee, Dane van Niekerk and Trisha Chetty, who recently retired from international cricket, in the contracted squad.

“With the current group of players going from strength to strength, we are pleased to retain the core of the squad for what is set to be another exciting chapter in the Proteas Women story,” added CSA director of cricket Enoch Nkwe.

“We have the 2024 T20 World Cup and the 50-over edition in 2025 on the horizon. We are thrilled to be embarking on this journey with an uber-talented squad.

“It includes a blend of experienced and youthful players who still have a lot to give for their country and the green and gold. The future excites us all.”
