Boland have advertised for a new head coach ahead of South Africa’s 2022-23 domestic season.
Former Ireland head coach and Proteas assistant coach Adrian Birrell was Boland’s head coach during the 2021-22 season.
“Birrell has not signed a contract with us this season due to personal reasons,” Boland Cricket acting president Godwin Von Willingh told Club Cricket SA.
Boland compete as the Rocks in the first division of South African domestic cricket.
They have signed former Proteas batsman Farhaan Behardien for the 2022-23 season.
Seamer Khwezi Gumede and all-rounder Bamanye Xenxe have also joined Boland from Easterns and Mpumalanga, respectively.
Boland have also contracted wicketkeeper-batsman Hlomla Hanabe.
