Primrose Cricket Club have appointed new assistant coach Ahmad Magiet for the 2025-26 Western Province Cricket Association first division A.
Magiet has effectively succeeded former Primrose Cricket Club assistant coach Wasfee Samsodien, who has moved to Ottoman Cricket Club.
Magiet will work alongside new head coach Saadiek Davids, who has joined from Victoria Cricket Club.
Primrose Cricket Club ended the 2024-25 WPCA first division A in third position. They won 17 and lost five matches – and missed promotion to the 2025-26 premier league by four points.
Several players have returned to Primrose Cricket Club, including former Cape Cobras spinner David Schierhout from Yorkshire Cricket Club.
