Ama20 Competition semi-finals postponed after player ineligibility complaints

Victoria Cricket Club are the reigning Ama20 Competition premier league champions.

The Western Province Cricket Association have postponed the 2015 Ama20 Competition semi-finals.

Several key play-off fixtures were scheduled for Sunday, 25 October, but have been delayed after “complaints were brought to the attention of the local leagues that clubs who qualified for the semi-finals fielded ineligible players.”

A statement from WPCA amateur cricket manager Clinton du Preez continued: “The matches have been postponed until further notice. We will carry out further investigations into these allegations.”

No rescheduled date has been confirmed yet.

Victoria Cricket Club are the reigning Ama20 Competition premier division champions. University of the Western Cape Cricket Club, Northerns Goodwood Cricket Club and Blue Bells Cricket Club won the first division A, B and C titles respectively.
