Gloucestershire batsman Chris Dent has returned to Brackenfell Cricket Club for the second half of the 2024-25 Western Province Cricket Association premier league.
Dent has represented Brackenfell Cricket Club in previous seasons. In 2022, he struck a record 196 during a T20 fixture against Rondebosch Cricket Club.
Brackenfell Cricket Club currently occupy third position in this season’s WPCA premier league. They have won seven and lost four matches.
Meanwhile, Warwickshire’s Kai Smith has returned to Rondebosch Cricket Club.
Dent and Smith are among several overseas professionals involved in this season’s WPCA premier league. Cape Town Cricket Club have Essex batsman Robin Das. Claremont Cricket Club have Derbyshire’s Harry Came. This is Came’s fifth season with Claremont Cricket Club. This is Das’ second season with Cape Town Cricket Club.
Worcestershire’s Gareth Roderick is captaining Green Point Cricket Club. Northamptonshire’s Justin Broad is with Western Province Cricket Club.
In the 2024-25 WPCA first division A, Northamptonshire spinner Freddie Heldreich is playing for Victoria Cricket Club.
