Avendale Cricket Club have recruited all-rounder Tyler Alexander and batsman Justin Gilliland ahead of the 2020-21 Western Province Cricket Club first division B.
Alexander and Gilliland were part of Strandfontein Cricket Club‘s 2019-20 WPCA premier league campaign.
Gilliland scored 324 runs in 20 innings at an average of 23.20, according to WebSports. Alexander took seven wickets in nine innings.
Strandfontein Cricket Club, who have returned to the first division A, have also lost all-rounder Saliegh Jaffar to United Cricket Club.
The start of the 2020-21 WPCA club cricket season will likely be delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The 2019-20 season ended early for the same reason.
