Avendale Cricket Club are hiring a head coach ahead of the 2017-18 season.
Avendale Cricket Club compete in the Western Province Cricket Association first division A. The 2016-17 season brought a fifth-place finish on the back of four wins in nine attempts.
“The incumbent will be responsible for coaching ACC first XI, from August 2017 to the end of March 2018. This contract may be considered for an extension,” read a statement from the club.
“Qualification-wise, we would like someone with a Cricket South Africa level three coaching qualification, or the equivalent. Experience-wise, three years’ coaching experience of a premier league or first division A team is the preference.
“Applicants must have a good command of English – and will mainly deal and communicate with male players. Working in a team, interacting successfully at all levels and having the ability to work effectively under pressure is a prerequisite.”
Avendale Cricket Club’s second XI, meanwhile, have gained promotion to the reserve A division on the back of a successful reserve B division campaign.
