Peters previously played for Milnerton Cricket Club in the WPCA premier league.
Avendale Cricket Club recently appointed new player-coach Dyllan Matthews.
Matthews has succeeded former Avendale Cricket Club player-coach Keanan Mitchell, who has rejoined Strandfontein Cricket Club.
“I’ve decided to take on the role of head coach at Avendale Cricket Club after positive conversations with the club’s leadership,” said Matthews.
“The project excites me, given the depth of talent at the club. We know it will take hard work to compete at the level we want to in a challenging league, but I’m up for the challenge.
“We have a vision that will take time to unfold, hence me signing a two-season deal. The focus will be on developing players to achieve their full potential, on and off the field.”
Avendale Cricket Club have also Tyler Alexander. He has moved to Strandfontein Cricket Club.
