Durbanville Cricket Club have signed all-rounder Ben Ward for the 2024-25 Western Province Cricket Association premier league.
Ward, who previously represented Milnerton Cricket Club, has been capped by Jersey in international cricket. He has played 40 T20Is and eight ODIs.
Ward also played for the Cape Cobras in 2021.
Ward’s Durbanville Cricket Club arrival coincides with all-rounder Jaco Castle and spinner Eddie Schutte’s exits. Castle and Schutte have joined Brackenfell Cricket Club and Bellville Cricket Club, respectively.
Durbanville Cricket Club ended the 2023-24 WPCA premier league in second position with 15 wins and seven defeats. Rondebosch Cricket Club won the title and Claremont Cricket Club ended in third position.
