What Bergvliet Cricket Club chairman said

“It has taken 10 years to realise a dream and bring Bergvliet Cricket Club into the first division. The last two years have been nothing short of hard work,” said club chairman Tim Scholtz.

“Adam van Willingh, after being promoted to the position of director of cricket, has been a revelation. His influence at club and school level has allowed us to recruit a bunch of good players. It is a combination of young blood and seasoned players who have given us a good foundation.

“Dedication and time saw us make the goal happen – win the second division. There was a real focus on inclusivity. The culture at the club is one of unity and success. No politics. Everyone has a voice. Everyone is equal.

“The committee has been on point throughout and we are happy to have secured a headline sponsor for next season. We can only get stronger – that’s the exciting part. The era of Bergvliet Cricket Club has just started.”
