Blue Bells Cricket Club will play Edgemead Cricket Club in Sunday, 6 April 2025’s Western Province Cricket Association first division B T20 final at Newlands.
Blue Bells Cricket Club and Edgemead Cricket Club collected semi-final victories over Belhar Cricket Club and Cravenby Cricket Club, respectively, to reach this season’s WPCA first division B T20 final.
“We’re excited, but also focused. We know we’re up against a really good Edgemead team who have played really well this season and been very consistent,” said Blue Bells Cricket Club captain Nadeem Bedford.
“There’s a lot of confidence, but also a sense of respect for how strong they are. We just need to stick to our game plan, execute and play with heart.
“It’s going to come down to consistency and composure. Finals are often decided by small moments and, if we can stay calm under pressure, hopefully we can win those small moments and be victorious.”
‘Securing fourth T20 title would be cherry on top’ for Edgemead Cricket Club

Edgemead Cricket Club.
Edgemead Cricket Club will attempt to win this title for a fourth consecutive season. They have been promoted to the 2025-26 WPCA first division A.
Edgemead Cricket Club chairperson Lawrie Snyders added: “The last three occasions, we beat Somerset West Cricket Club twice – and Montrose Cricket Club.
“This Sunday will see us take on Blue Bells Cricket Club and attempt to secure a fourth consecutive title win. Kyle Duncan will be the only player to have played in the last four finals.
“There will be three teenagers in the side on the day, two of which played in last year’s final.
“Securing a fourth T20 title would be the cherry on the top as we have secured promotion to the first division A for next season.”
