Chief executive officer James Fortuin has confirmed batsman Pieter Malan will stay with Boland for the 2024-25 domestic season in South Africa.
Malan, who has played three Tests for South Africa, joined Boland from Western Province in 2021.
“Pieter will now stay on here at the province,” Boland chief executive officer James Fortuin told Rapport.
“I can confirm that we have offered Pieter an extension to his three-year contract.”
Batsman Janneman Malan, however, will not stay with Boland.
“We’ve mutually agreed to terminate Janneman’s contract. We part on good ways. We love him,” added Fortuin.
Boland have signed batsmen Grant Roelofsen and Blayde Capell. Roelofsen and Capell previously played for the Dolphins and South Western Districts, respectively.
Seamer Keith Dudgeon has also joined Boland from the Tuskers.
“We’re looking to refresh the squad considerably in the off-season. We’ve been called an old age home – that hurts,” added Fortuin.
