Namibian international Jan Frylinck will play for Brackenfell Cricket Club for the second half of the 2022-23 Western Province Cricket Association premier league.
Frylinck will effectively replace Gloucestershire batsman Chris Dent as Brackenfell Cricket Club’s foreign professional. Dent has returned to the United Kingdom.
Frylinck has played 27 ODIs and 38 T20Is – and represented Namibia in last year’s T20 World Cup.
“Jan played for Brackenfell Cricket Club while he was still in high school and Brackenfell are excited to have him back after all these years,” said Brackenfell Cricket Club head of cricket Francois Gantz.
“We are really excited to welcome Jan back. We did not start the season as we would have liked to, so to be able to select a player with Jan’s ability and experience will be a massive boost for Brackenfell CC.”
Brackenfell Cricket Club currently occupy seventh position in the 12-team WPCA premier league. They have won three and lost five matches.
