Batsman Chris Dent struck a near double-century for Brackenfell Cricket Club against Rondebosch Cricket Club recently.

Dent hit 196 from 69 deliveries, including 21 sixes and 10 fours, in the Western Province Cricket Association Ama20 Competition premier league fixture.

The match, which was ultimately washed out, was played at a neutral venue – Kraaifontein Cricket Club’s secondary field.

Dent is Brackenfell Cricket Club’s overseas professional for the 2022-23 WPCA season. He is contracted by Gloucestershire in England.
