Batsman Cameron Delport has signed for the Mississauga Panthers ahead of the 2023 edition of the Global T20 Canada.
Delport, who was contracted by the Lions but recently returned to the Tuskers in South African domestic cricket, has played in several domestic T20 leagues around the world, including:
- Bangladesh Premier League;
- Pakistan Super League;
- Big Bash League in Australia;
- Caribbean Premier League; and
- T20 Blast in United Kingdom.
The Global T20 Canada launched in 2018, but hasn’t been played since 2019. This year, it will feature six teams, comprising the Panthers, Toronto Nationals, Montreal Tigers, Vancouver Knights, Brampton Wolves and Surrey Jaguars.
Other South Africans will be involved in the tournament, too, including Vancouver Knights trio Reeza Hendricks, Rassie van der Dussen and Corbin Bosch.
