Former South Africa Under-19 captain, KwaZulu-Natal first-class cricketer and Chatsworth Sporting Club all-rounder Chad Bowes is emigrating to Canterbury, New Zealand.
The 22-year-old Bowes, who recently welcomed a key sponsorship from Dunamis Cricket, will effectively attempt to follow the footsteps of South African-born New Zealand cricketers Grant Elliott, Kruger van Wyk and Neil Wagner.
“Chad cut his contract with Gunn and Moore to be with us. He is a big signing and a very promising player. I am quite sure he will eventually play for New Zealand eve,” Dunamis Cricket managing director Alex Styles told Club Cricket SA.
While the talented right-hander’s average is a weak 24.06 after 31 matches, his List A aggregate is an impressive 54.25 across 17 appearances.
