Claremont Cricket Club, captained by the hard-hitting Leon Botha and inspired by Bowler of the Tournament Kyle Williamson and All-Rounder of the Tournament Adam Ball, defeated the Boland Invitational side in the shield final.
The Groot Drakenstein Games Club Invitational unit, buoyed by the services of former Proteas all-rounder Johann Louw and ex-franchise cricketer Craig Thyssen, beat Cape Town Cricket Club in the plate final.
Durbanville Cricket Club’s Jaco Castle and Western Province Cricket Club’s Jarryd Walsh were among the day’s biggest hitters, striking three consecutive sixes – and more – each.
