Durbanville Cricket Club’s Brandon Viret has secured the second Club Cricket SA Player of the Week accolade for the 2017-18 season.
Viret delivered three telling performances across 14 and 15 October’s second round of Western Province Cricket Association Ama20 Competition fixtures.
The talented left-arm seamer snared fine figures of four for 11 against Langa Cricket Club, two for 24 against Claremont Cricket Club and one for 27 against Brackenfell Cricket Club.
His seven wickets – at a telling average of 8.86 and inexpensive economy rate of 5.17 – contributed to three victories for Durbanville Cricket Club at Langa Cricket Club.
