A remarkable 18-wicket haul across the opening weekend of March 2017 has earned Cape Town Cricket Club’s Michal Lord the Club Cricket SA Player of the Week.
Lord secured telling figures of six for 86 during Saturday’s reserve division B fixture against hosts University of Cape Town Cricket Club.
Sunday saw the left-arm spinner’s superb stretch of form continue against University of the Western Cape Cricket Club, with an extraordinary haul of nine for 40 in the first innings and a complementary three for five in the second.
Lord’s weekend aggregate totalled 18 for 131 in 43.1 overs, which included 10 maidens.
