Ottoman Cricket Club’s Muneer Holmes is the latest winner of the Club Cricket SA Player of the Week award.
Holmes struck an impressive century in Saturday, 13 February 2016’s Western Province Cricket Association first division A fixture against Northerns Goodwood Cricket Club.
The 30-year-old left-hander’s patient 114 was scored off 165 deliveries – and featured a dozen fours and two sixes.
His 73-run partnership alongside the talented Mujahid Toffar was particularly important after the early departure of opener Isma-eel Adams.
Holmes is the second Ottoman Cricket Club player to receive the Club Cricket SA Player of the Week accolade this season, after left-arm spinner Anwar Rahman in November last year.
