Durbanville Cricket Club‘s Nathan Swartz is the latest Club Cricket SA Player of the Week.
Swartz’s telling eight-wicket haul carried the hosts to a solid five-wicket victory over Claremont Cricket Club in a key Western Province Cricket Association premier league fixture, which ended on 22 October 2016.
Seamer Swartz followed first-innings figures of two for 58 with six for 37 in the second, to finish with a superb match haul of eight for 95.
The talented right-armer’s second-innings six-for saw Claremont Cricket Club, who were promoted to the WPCA premier league earlier this year and are coached by former South Africa all-rounder Justin Kemp, collapse from 26 for one to 46 for eight – and ultimately 84 all out.
