Club Cricket SA to defend Cape Town Cricket Sixes festival title

Cape Town Cricket Sixes festivalClub Cricket SA are the defending champions of the club league (formerly premier league).

Club Cricket SA will be back to defend their title at the Cape Town Cricket Sixes festival early next year.

The Club Cricket SA invitational team, which featured players from Claremont Cricket Club, Green Point Cricket Club, Cape Town Cricket Club, Fish Hoek Cricket Club, Ottoman Cricket Club and Blue Bells Cricket Club, won the event’s premier league title in 2016.

They beat Futura Sports Agency in a tense final to be crowned inaugural champions of the premier league, which has since been renamed the club league.

Club Cricket SA will, again, pursue the services of Claremont Cricket Club’s Leon Botha and Liam Brittow, Green Point Cricket Club’s Zac Elkin, Ottoman Cricket Club’s Muneer Holmes, Blue Bells Cricket Club’s Nasri Alexander, Cape Town Cricket Club’s Brendan Young, Geoff Dods and Marc de Beer, among others, for success.

The tournament will take place at Green Point Cricket Club on 18 and 19 February, 2016.
