Former Cape Cobras captain Andrew Puttick has been appointed Gulf Giants batting coach in the International League T20 in the United Arab Emirates.
Puttick, who previously worked with Pakistan, will work alongside new Gulf Giants head coach Jonathan Trott and bowling coach Shane Bond. Trott’s departure from the Pretoria Capitals in the SA20 was confirmed last week.
“The Gulf Giants have quickly become one of the ILT20’s most successful teams. My goal is to empower players to excel and help shape a championship-winning squad through the first ever ILT20 auction,” said Trott.
Bond added: “The team’s ambition is clear. I’m excited to sharpen our bowling attack and make a decisive impact this season.”
The ILT20 will coincide with parts of the SA20 in South Africa and Big Bash League in Australia.
