Seamer Codi Yusuf conceded the most runs by a Proteas cricketer on ODI debut this week.

Yusuf collected figures of zero for 80 in 10 overs against England in the third ODI in Southampton on Sunday.

Seamer Duanne Olivier previously held the record for the most number of runs conceded on ODI debut for South Africa – 73 in 10 overs against Pakistan in Port Elizabeth in 2019.

The Proteas, meanwhile, lost captain Temba Bavuma to injury. Bavuma was sidelined by a calf strain and will only bat if necessary in Southampton.

South Africa have an unassailable two-nil series lead in the three-ODI series after wins at Headingley and Lord’s. The Proteas and England will contest three T20Is after this ODI series.
