“I’m extremely excited to join the Knights this upcoming season. I’ve always enjoyed the positive brand of cricket they play and their hunger to win trophies,” Haasbroek told Club Cricket SA.

“The Knights have always operated professionally and when you combine that with a winning culture, it creates an environment where you can thrive and grow.

“I’ve got great memories of playing at the Mangaung Oval and I’m excited to make a few more good ones alongside a bunch of great guys.

“I’ve always felt confident playing in Bloemfontein because of previous performances, so I’m hoping to carry that form into the season and help the team win matches and silverware. We’ve got an experienced group of guys and I’m looking forward to learning a lot from them.”

The Knights, meanwhile, have lost all-rounder Dian Forrester, spinner Aubrey Swanepoel and batsmen Lesego Senokwane and Garnett Tarr. Forrester, Swanepoel and Senokwane have joined North West, Mpumalanga and the Titans, respectively. Tarr has returned to Northern Cape.

“I am excited to join the North West Dragons team – it’s a team that has been doing well in the past few seasons, competing for trophies,” Forrester told OFM.

“My parents are in Pretoria and the ground at North West has a very good wicket – I experienced that during the One-Day Cup. There are a lot of players at North West that I look up to – and hopefully I can learn a lot from them. It’s great to be joining this special team.”
