The 2020-21 Central Gauteng Lions Cricket club season will start, albeit belatedly, on 13 February.
Central Gauteng Lions Cricket marketing and communications manager Wanele Mngomezulu confirmed the news to Club Cricket SA.
The substantial delay was largely due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic around South Africa and the rest of the world.

The Western Province Cricket Association 2020-21 club season, meanwhile, has been cancelled.
The KwaZulu-Natal Cricket Union have delayed the start of the 2020-21 club season to early March.
Eastern Province Cricket have ‘unanimously proposed’ a complete cancellation.
