Former Pinetown Cricket Club head coach joins Crusaders Cricket Club

Crusaders Cricket Club have welcomed the veteran James Pentz as head coach, ahead of a challenging 2017-18 KwaZulu-Natal Cricket Union premier league campaign.

Pentz was head coach at Pinetown Cricket Club – and was recently succeeded by former Proteas fast bowler Mornantau Hayward.

Crusaders Cricket Club were crowned 2016-17 premier league champions, on the back of 12 victories in 18 attempts. The title earned them participation at April’s Momentum National Club Championship – a tournament they won in 2015.

They were also strong contenders at the inaugural Multiply T20 Community Cup.

Hollywoodbets Crusaders would like to welcome James on board. James has been a professional coach for 10 years – and has guided many players, from junior levels, to reach higher honours,” read a statement from Crusaders Cricket club.

“He is passionate about his work – and the game of cricket. We look forward to working with him in an attempt to win our ninth premier league title in a row.”
