Dale Steyn exits Sunrisers Eastern Cape in SA20

Bowling coach Dale Steyn has left the Sunrisers Eastern Cape ahead of the fourth edition of the SA20.

Steyn worked with the Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the first three editions of the SA20. He won two titles with them.

“Massive thanks to Sunrisers EC. It’s been a great pleasure working with you and the best management/coaching staff I’ve ever worked with.

“Three seasons and three finals, twice won and a runner-up. What more could one ask for – loved it. All the best to the team for season four. Thank you and go well.”

The Sunrisers added: “Thank you, Dale, for the energy, experience, and unforgettable memories. You’ll always be one of us.”

Meanwhile, Durban’s Super Giants have signed England batsman Jos Buttler, West Indies all-rounder Sunil Narine and Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmad.

MI Cape Town are the reigning SA20 champions.

Season four of the SA20 will start on 26 December.
