Darren Butler returns to promoted Milnerton Cricket Club

Batsman Darren Butler has returned to Milnerton Cricket Club ahead of the 2023-24 Western Province Cricket Association premier league.

Butler left Milnerton Cricket Club for Rondebosch Cricket Club in 2021, but has returned after two seasons.

Whether Butler will be available for all or part of Milnerton Cricket Club’s 2023-24 WPCA premier league campaign remains in the balance.

Butler, like Claremont Cricket Club duo Josh Breed fan Matthew de Villiers, is pursuing club cricket in New Zealand during the southern hemisphere summer.

Other Milnerton Cricket Club recruits

Milnerton Cricket Club have also signed seamer Tom Ellis-Cole from Pinelands Cricket Club.

Batsman Oliver Haines, from England, will be with Milnerton Cricket Club as well.

WPCA rules allow for one overseas player per XI. Haines will play in Milnerton Cricket Club’s premier league or reserve division A XI.

Milnerton Cricket Club have returned to the WPCA premier league after winning the 2022-23 first division A.
