Derbyshire batsman returns for 6th successive season with Claremont Cricket Club

Derbyshire batsman Harry Came has joined Claremont Cricket Club in the Western Province Cricket Association premier league again.

This is Came’s sixth successive season with Claremont Cricket Club. He won the 2022-23 WPCA premier league title with them.

Earlier this month, Hampshire’s Felix Organ played for Claremont Cricket Club.

Meanwhile, Victoria Cricket Club have signed Essex wicketkeeper-batsman Simon Fernandes.

Fernandes represented Rondebosch Cricket Club in the 2024-25 WPCA premier league and reserve division A.

Several other county cricketers from England are involved in this season’s WPCA premier league and first division A, too, including:

  • Green Point Cricket Club and Worcestershire’s Gareth Roderick;
  • Milnerton Cricket Club and Warwickshire’s Jake Lintott;
  • Cravenby Cricket Club and Northamptonshire’s Saif Zaib; and
  • Rondebosch Cricket Club and Warwickshire’s Michael Booth.

Essex seamer Zaman Akhter will play for Western Province Cricket Club next month.
