Double award-winning all-rounder leaves relegated Knights for ‘special team’ in division 1

All-rounder Dian Forrester has left the Knights ahead of the 2025-26 domestic season in South Africa. Find out more.

Forrester has joined North West, who have retained division one status. The Knights have been relegated to division two.

Forrester was named the Knights’ Most Valuable Player after the 2024-25 and 2023-24 seasons.

“I am excited to join the North West Dragons team – it’s a team that has been doing well in the past few seasons, competing for trophies,” Forrester told OFM.

“My parents are in Pretoria and the ground at North West has a very good wicket – I experienced that during the One-Day Cup. There are a lot of players at North West that I look up to – and hopefully I can learn a lot from them. It’s great to be joining this special team.”

North West have also signed spinner Jade de Klerk from Border, seamer Onke Nyaku from Western Province – and former Warriors duo Alfred Mothoa and Diego Rosier.

Seamers Kerwin Mungroo, Duan Jansen, Marco Jansen, Gideon Peters and Bamanye Xenxe have left North West. The Jansens have moved to the Titans. Xenxe has moved to the Tuskers. Peters and Mungroo have joined the Warriors.
